BRIGHT BEGINNINGS ANNUAL FORUM

STRONG ROOTS CREATE HEALTHY SHOOTScartoon upside down girl     cartoon boy

Bright Beginnings, North Eastman Parent-Child Coalition, held its 9th annual forum on April 23, 2010 at the Pinawa Alliance Church

This year’s forum featured such keynote speakers as Pamela Whyte, Parent Educator/Consultant with the Gordon Neufeld Institute, along with Connie Holmlund and Lorel Fierheller, Community Mental Health Workers with North Eastman Health Association.  Topics of discussion included resiliency in children and everyday parental stress survival.  This year’s grant recipients were honoured and given the opportunity to highlight their achievements and happenings in their own communities.

Once again, in lieu of registration fee, participants were asked to consider bringing a donation for the local food bank. We are happy to report that a substantial amount of non-perishable items were donated, along with a sizeable cash donation.  Thank you to our generous participants at this year’s event!

Please watch for this exciting event happening in North Eastman each Spring.  We look forward to seeing you in April 2011.
